San Francisco, Looking towards the Bay Bridge from China Town, 1991

I have been traveling to San Francisco almost annually since 1991 and it is one of my very favorite cities in the world.  It is the Paris of the west coast.  The first time I went to a Chinese restaurant there was at a place called the House of Nan King.  This old man seated us at a table and gave us menus.  When he came back with water he asked if we had ever eaten there before.  When I said "no" he immediately grabbed the menus out of our hands and said "You no worry, I take good care of you" and immediately clapped his hands and started shouting towards the kitchen.  Almost instantly food just started arriving at our table and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.
