McClellan's Gate, Arlington National Cemetery 2014

This is one of gates that enclosed the original cemetery that was established in 1864.  This gate was erected in 1879 and honors General McClellan.  As the cemetery expanded to accommodate veterans from more conflicts this area has become the central heart of this hollowed ground.
