Brooklyn, 2003
I spent a week in Brooklyn studying copper plate photogravure with renowned artist Lothar Osterburg. I came to love Brooklyn and realized how nice New Yorkers are as long as you know exactly what kind of bagel and lox you want when it is your turn to order. Not surprising, but I got lost during one of my lunch breaks from the workshop. I went into a hardware store to ask directions and the employee was so nice that he walked a block with me to make sure I got back on track. This was the scene that was guiding me back to the studio.
