We found We found this nest at the base of our plumb tree this summer. I have held on to it for a couple of months. It reminded me of my childhood when my two older siblings left home while I was still young. I don't see them very often but I still think of them and remember good times together. They moved south like the robins do before winter. One has a birthday in Autumn and the other in Spring... and mine is in summer. We all seem to migrate in opposite directions as busy and distant families do.
Now my own son has left the nest and is married. I'm so proud of him too. It is the circle of life and I feel blessed to be here in the nest that Sarah and I are building in this rural landscape.
