A literary photograph...

I am a visual storyteller who travels and documents the people and places that have created meaningful experiences for me.  Like great literature, I seek to not just to mark the passage of time, but to deepen our understanding of it.  My work is influenced by the great humanist photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson and Walker Evans and the landscape photography of Minor White and Brett Weston.

When I try to express who I am in my photography the closest I can get to is somewhere in between the literary works of E.B. White and Charles Bukowski.  I am seeking in my work to express the zen like harmony that exists between the juxtapositions of nostalgia and cruelty, joy and sorrow, and the full measure of human existence.
