Modern Dance from 50 Hour Slam on Vimeo.

During the months of February and March I spent time with Vincas Greene and a group of talented dancers at Gonzaga University  for a project related to the 50 Hour Slam that just launched last night.   Filmmakers from all over the region came together to spend this weekend making short films that have to incorporate the theme of dance into their films.  I was the cinematographer for this video that was provided as background for all of the filmmakers.  It was wonderful to see what film editor Adam Harum did with my footage.  I have been collaborating more and more with other talented filmmakers and photographers I find it so rewarding!

For me filming dance and witnessing the transformation that occurs as dancers come together to learn new material was like a homecoming of sorts.  My career was launched in 1989 with an exhibition I put together of a dance company.    I have never lost my love of dance and dancers.
