Central Park

This last December I got to spend some time in New York with friends and family.  I was excited to be there because I had never experienced the holiday season in New York city before.  This trip in particular has taught me to let go and just enjoy the act of seeing and making photographs without worrying about being so precise.  I shot this with my old Canonette QL17 35mm rangefinder camera which is so small and compact.  I enjoy traveling with that camera that I think for this kind of work I am just going to let film do its thing.  I bought TriX at B&H right after arriving at Penn Station. I am just now beginning to sort through the negatives and make some prints.  I made this image while we were walking in Central Park.  I couldn't decide between the horizontal or vertical crop so I made both.  What do you think?
